Meeting House Peaceful

The Presbyterian Church is situated on the main road at the entrance to the village as you approach from Portnablagh. It sits impressively on a hill surrounded by tall conifer trees.

A foundation stone in the wall of the church states "This meeting House was rebuilt in the year of our Lord 1750". The present church was designed by the architect Robert Young of Belfast, who was influenced by the Romanesque churches of the Charente in France. It was opened in October 1878.

The whole village can set their clocks every Sunday without fail to the church bells ringing welcoming people to Sunday Service.

Congregations today are welcomed by the Reverend Andrew Watson, and Service is every Sunday at 10.30.
